| Now a Centre of Excellence |

CREDAI Bengal selected as industry partner by the
Government of West Bengal to develop the Women’s
Industrial Training Institute (WITI), Gariahat, Kolkata, into a
Centre of Excellence in construction and woodworking. |
 |
Initiative is a result of partnership between Government of
India, Government of West Bengal and CREDAI Bengal. |
 |
Chairman of CREDAI Bengal's Education Committee will serve as chairman of the Institute Management Committee of WITI. |
 |
Management of the institute vested in the committee consisting of nominees from the Government of West Bengal and CREDAI Bengal. |
 |
Funding for the initiative is from Government of India,
Government of West Bengal and CREDAI Bengal members. |

Now the institute will provide highly specialised training and
job placements in the fields of construction and wood working,
besides a few other key sectors for which both women and men
will be eligible. |
 |
The infrastructure of the institute will be expanded with addition of at least three more floors to the existing building to provide more classrooms, workshops, auditorium, conference room and other facilities with support from CREDAI Bengal members. |
 |
As a result of this initiative, this institute will become a premier body in West Bengal delivering professional training to create pools of skilled personnel for the real estate industry. |

| Real Estate Management Certificate Course |

A pioneering management programme for young graduates has been started by CREDAI
Bengal in association with St. Xaviers' College, Kolkata. |
 |
The course is spread over six months and provides students with
a broad based understanding of real estate management issues. |
 |
The first batch of 15 students has already qualified and all graduates
have found placement in different real estate companies. |
 |
The second batch has commenced with 32 students enrolled. |
 |
This initiative will help further professionalisation of the real estate
industry and assist young men and women to obtain rewarding career
opportunities within this fast growing sector of the economy. |
 |
In future, CREDAI Bengal also intends to offer such courses through other prestigious colleges, in other towns and cities of the state. |
